I AM VERY SORRY I DID NOT GET TO UPDATE ON ALICIA YESTERDAY. THE HOSPITAL HAS BENN HAVING TROUBLE WITH THEIR INTERNET SINCE THE BAD STORM THEY HAD HERE A COUPLE OF NIGHTS AGO.
THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS THERE HAS NOT BEEN MUCH CHANGE WITH ALICIA. SHE HAS GOTTEN A FEVER OFF AND ON AND THE DIAREHHA IS STILL HERE BUT IT IS GETTING A LITTLE LESS FREQUENT.
ALICIA THREW UP HER FEEDING NG TUBE MONDAY EVENING. SHE HAD A LITTLE BREAK FRON IT BUT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT PUTTING IT BACK IN TODAY BECAUSE THEY THINK SHE WILL BE ABLE TO START TOLERATING FEEDS NOW. SHE STILL IS HAVING A HARD TIME EATING REGULAR FOOD DUE TO THE PAIN SHE HAS BEEN HAVING IN HER TUMMY FROM THE GVH.
WE ARE GETTING VERY VERY VERY EXCITED ABOUT ERIKA COMING. ALICIA HAS BEEN COUNTING DOWN THE DAYS AND SHE IS EVEN TELLING MOMMY TO HURRY WHEN SHE TALKS TO HER ON THE PHONE. EVERY MORNING WHEN SHE WAKES UP SHE ONLY ASKS FOR TWO THINGS, ONE IS IF HER MOMMY IS COMING TODAY AND THE OTHER IS FOR MCDONALDS CHICKEN NUGGETS. I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR A WAY TO GET HER SOME AND HI WABOPEFULLY I WILL SOON.
ALICIA WENT DOWN TO THERAPY YESTERDAY BUT SHE DID NOT MAKE IT VERY FAR WALKING. SHE IS HAVING ALOT OF PAIN IN HER LEGS DO I AM GOING TO GET HER OUT OF BED MORE AND MAKE HER START USING HER LEGS. I HAD TO CARRY HER ALOT OF THE WAY BUT AT LEAST SHE MADE IT DOWN THERE AND DID ALOT OF WALKING WHEN WE WERE FINALLY IN THE ROOM. SHE IS GETTING SO LITTLE. (ANY ONE WHO KNOWS HER CAN ONLY IMAGINE SINCE SHE WAS SO SMALL ALREADY)
I CAN NOT WAIT TIL WE ARE OUT OF HERE AND BACK AT HOME CAUSE ALICIA WILL GET CHICKEN NUGGETS EVERYDAY IF SHE WANTS THEM.
I WANT TO SAY CONGRATULATIONS TO TERESA, SHE HAD A LITTLE BABY GIRL "VIOLET ROSE" ON THE 22ND. SHE IS SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been wondering how things are going and relieved they are doing as well as they are...though I wish so badly she was feeling a lot better than she is. I love how she gives the nurses "the look". She and Emma are so much alike! I hope her legs don't hurt so much and she regains energy. Poor baby girl has been through so much! You are doing such an amazing job taking care of her and being there for her. I hope the GVHD clears up and she can heal from all of that. Hope momma gets there soon! It has to be so hard for all of you that they haven't been able to be together.
