ALICIA'S JOURNEY WITH FA

Welcome to our blog where we try to keep family & friends updated on our daughter/granddaughter, Alicia, who is one of the most adorable five year olds ever! She was born with a very rare & aggressive disease, called Fanconi anemia, which causes bone marrow failure, as well as different cancers . She is currently undergoing a bone marrow transplant to try to cure her bone marrow issues. If you'd like to gain a little more background, please visit our first entry HERE.

Hello Everyone,

Sorry it has been so long since I have given an update on Alicia. All is well here. Alicia is doing just fine, she is getting over a cold and a terible cough, but her counts are staying the same.

We had an awesome Christmas. Alicia got so many Dora Dolls, Dora is her favorite. She loves to open presents.
After we were done opening presents on Christmas morning I was taking a shower and erika was cooking breakfast and Alicia decided since there were still presents under the tree, that she would finish opening them, so I had to rewrap all the presents that went to Grandmas house. We all laughed so hard, Alicia just didnt understand.

We really did have a good Christmas. My boss gave me a cruise to Jaimaca, I am so excited. I am going in March and then we are going to make the big move to Cinncinnatti.

I will keep everyone updated on Alicia. Hope all is well with everyone.
