ALICIA'S JOURNEY WITH FA

Welcome to our blog where we try to keep family & friends updated on our daughter/granddaughter, Alicia, who is one of the most adorable five year olds ever! She was born with a very rare & aggressive disease, called Fanconi anemia, which causes bone marrow failure, as well as different cancers . She is currently undergoing a bone marrow transplant to try to cure her bone marrow issues. If you'd like to gain a little more background, please visit our first entry HERE.

Keep the prayers coming---Michelle is in her own bed!!!

The hospital released michelle on wednsday and she has an appointment with her new primary care doc on monday morning. She has 9 prescribtions and is still in alot of pain. She says she dont feel good and still feels something is not right. The dr here said her liver is in stage 4 and kidney numbers are staying stable. That is good news cuz there is a treatment for her liver to try but no way her body could handle it right now. She has also found out she has thyroid problems. because Alicia is doing great. she is seriously getting a little chubby. I kept her last night and she cracks me up because before she finished her miniburger she was asking for some noodles then she had half a burrito and topped it off with another bowl of noodles. She looks really good though. Erika is doing really good. Alicia is loving being with her mom. Thankyou God----------Denise

Denise,
How happy you must be to have Alicia and Michelle back home! Thanks for the update. Keep us posted. We'll pile on the prayers for Michelle to feel better and for the treatment to work. Miracles do happen.

Does this mean her liver has improved since they said, previously, that her liver had totally failed? Praise God we have been praying for her liver. We have been praying for Michelle heaps and at prayer meeting. It is great that she is in her own bed. Wonderful news about Alicia as well :-)
Love Charisse

Oh Michelle, I'm so glad you're home! Here praying!
Colossians 1:9-11 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

Colossians 1:12-14 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
