ALICIA'S JOURNEY WITH FA

Welcome to our blog where we try to keep family & friends updated on our daughter/granddaughter, Alicia, who is one of the most adorable five year olds ever! She was born with a very rare & aggressive disease, called Fanconi anemia, which causes bone marrow failure, as well as different cancers . She is currently undergoing a bone marrow transplant to try to cure her bone marrow issues. If you'd like to gain a little more background, please visit our first entry HERE.

Michelle and Alicia

I am sorry for not updating yesterday! There was not any real change. She did have one more bag of blood and was much better. She is very sore, but out of the hospital today.

Alicia was going to be released when Michelle was, but she had a fever last night that lasted thirty minutes. So that bought her an overnight stay, she will be released tomorrow. Michelle is with her now. She was sooo excited to see her Meemaw!

Michelle has her followup appointment on Thursday and Will get her results then.
Thank you for checking in!!!

So glad to hear that you're out of the hospital (your room at least) and with Alicia.
Thinking of you and praying that the results will bring "good news" for you.
Take care of yourself and be sure to take it easy...you do need to heal.
Thanks Tina again for the update.
Love, Mary Ann

Praying in Seattle!
Psalms 59:16-17 But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble. Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy.

It is great to hear you are well enough to be out of hospital. Take it EASY, ya hear????? Hehe. Praying for your continued recovery and for your results. I know how scary it is to recieve results and be worried they are bad *sigh* Praying for GOOD results.
We are also praying for Alicia to be fine without a fever!
Love you,
Charisse

Praying right now!
Psalms 62:5-8 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
