ALICIA'S JOURNEY WITH FA

Welcome to our blog where we try to keep family & friends updated on our daughter/granddaughter, Alicia, who is one of the most adorable five year olds ever! She was born with a very rare & aggressive disease, called Fanconi anemia, which causes bone marrow failure, as well as different cancers . She is currently undergoing a bone marrow transplant to try to cure her bone marrow issues. If you'd like to gain a little more background, please visit our first entry HERE.

THE PRINCESS PARADE

YEAH ALICIA FINALLY WAS FEELING WELL ENOUGH TO HAVE THE PRINCESS PARADE. IT WAS SOOOOOOO CUTE. SOME OF HER FRIENDS HERE ON THE BMT FLOOR EVEN JOINED IN, THE ONE IN PINK IS ABBY, AND THE MUSIC THERAPIST, BRIAN, PLAYED MUSIC FROM ENCHANTED THE WHOLE WAY. THANKS AGAIN TO ALL OF OUR FRIENDS AT TALL GRASS IMAGING FOR MAKING THIS POSSABLE. SHE LOOKED SO PRETTY IN HER LITTLE PRINCESS OUTFIT. ALL OF THE NURSE'S STOOD ALONG THE WALL AND CHEERED THEM ALL ON.............

Lookin' beautiful, sweetie!
Know that I'm still here praying.
Psalms 116:1-5 I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live. The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul. Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.
