ALICIA'S JOURNEY WITH FA

Welcome to our blog where we try to keep family & friends updated on our daughter/granddaughter, Alicia, who is one of the most adorable five year olds ever! She was born with a very rare & aggressive disease, called Fanconi anemia, which causes bone marrow failure, as well as different cancers . She is currently undergoing a bone marrow transplant to try to cure her bone marrow issues. If you'd like to gain a little more background, please visit our first entry HERE.

Alicia ICU

Hello It is Krisstina again for Michelle,
Michelle asked for me to update, since she does not have the Internet right now. Alicia is in ICU. She started vomiting and diarrhea last night and had blood in stools. The docs told Michelle to watch her. So this morning her temp went up and she took her to the ER. While there, her blood pressure started dropping and they took her into a trauma bay. Her blood pressure bottomed out at 59/30. Her temp got to 102. She has blood in stools and her tummy was all sucked in, Michelle said you could see every bone. She was taken to ICU. Her BP was low for awhile and then this evening was too high. She will be there for a couple days before going back to the BMT unit. She will have to be off the Dopamine first.
They are doing tests for all symptoms. One of us will update when we know more.

Please pray for her and Michelle.
Thanks
Krisstina

Oh I'm sorry! You BOTH need to start behaving yourselves and get better!
Know that I'm continuing to pray here in Seattle!

His oath, His covenant, and blood
Support me in the whelming flood;
When every earthly prop gives way,
He then is all my Hope and Stay.
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand.
